How it works
Every Automo account gets a unique referral link. When another dealer signs up through your link and activates a paid subscription, they become an active referral. From then on, every time they are billed we take 20% of what they paid us and refund it to your card. No paperwork, no invoicing — it happens automatically.
Example
Say your plan costs $29 per month. You refer three dealers — one pays $19, another pays $29, and the third pays $49. Every month, we take 20% of each of their plans and refund the total to your card — up to your own $29 bill. Add a couple more referrals and your Automo bill is effectively zero.
Cap and fairness
We cap the refund at your own plan price for each billing cycle. This means the program can pay for your Automo subscription in full, but never more. If you have more active referrals than you need to zero out your bill, the extras still give you a safety margin against any future plan changes on either side.

Every active Automo account already has a referral link. Sign in, head to the Referrals page in your dashboard, and copy your link. Share it with other independent dealers who might benefit from Automo — the moment they subscribe, your commission clock starts.

How much do I earn per referral?
You earn 20% of the referred dealer's plan price on every billing cycle, for as long as they remain an active paying subscriber. If they upgrade or downgrade, your commission automatically adjusts to their new plan price.
Is there a cap on how much I can earn?
Total referral refunds are capped at your own plan price for the billing cycle. This means you can effectively bring your own subscription cost to zero, but you cannot earn more than what you are paying us. There is no cap on the number of referrals you can bring in — additional referrals continue to protect your account against any future price increases.
How is the refund paid out?
Refunds are processed automatically after each billing cycle and credited back to the same payment method you use to pay for Automo. Processing may take a few business days depending on your card issuer.
What happens if my referral cancels?
The commission stops the moment the referred dealer's subscription is no longer active. If they later reactivate, the commission resumes automatically — you do not need to re-refer them.
Do free trials count?
No. You start earning commission the first time the referred dealer is actually charged for a paid subscription. Free-trial signups do not generate a refund on their own, but they convert automatically the moment the trial ends and their card is charged.
Can I refer the same dealer twice?
Each dealership can only be referred once. Whoever's referral link they sign up through gets the commission. If they were already referred by someone else, your link will not apply.
How do I get my referral link?
Log in to Automo, go to the Referrals page in your dashboard, and copy your unique referral link. Share it with dealers directly, or embed it anywhere you want.
